| Overview |
|
One look at the Sterling Condor's two-step ladder style entry, well-positioned grab handles, and super-low step-in height, and you know this isn't your typical low cab-forward design. The Sterling Condor is simply the most modern low cab-forward design available to refuse and recycling customers -- with the features and flexibility to get the job done right. Whether you're looking for a dual-steer front loader or a stand-up right hand drive side loader, Condor is the perfect choice for today's refuse applications.

Custom-engineered to meet the severe-duty challenges of waste management.
Ergonomically designed aluminum cab supports greater productivity by reducing operator fatigue and cutting trip times. Aluminum also permits larger payloads.
Low cab, ladder-type entry, with ergonomically placed grab handles, makes it easy to get in and out of the cab hundreds of times over the course of a refuse route.
Large front and side windows and an available back-up monitor provide superior visibility and improved safety -- a benefit for refuse crews working in busy urban areas.
Left-hand steering is standard. Optional right-hand steer or dual steer provides versatility and efficient use of manpower. Optional low-entry, right-hand, stand-up steering is available for one-person refuse applications.
Setback front axle provides ideal weight distribution and improved maneuverability.
Front, side or rear load configuration - the Sterling Condor's flexibility makes it the ideal choice for any refuse application.
* Equipment identified as optional is only a sample of the many options available from Sterling.

| Ergonomics |
|
Condor has been ergonomically engineered to reduce fatigue, maximize driver convenience, and improve productivity.
Ergonomic Features
- A flat floor on each side of the cab improves comfort and provides more space inside the cab for the driver and crew -- a benefit to an operator who needs to get in and out of the vehicle quickly and safely.
- Ample storage space, including cup holders, is provided for the comfort and convenience of work crews.
- Optional heavy-duty air conditioning improves cab comfort and helps keep a hard working crew fresher over a long hot day.
- A highly efficient defroster system clears windows quickly -- a benefit for a truck that's being used in populated or congested areas.
- Speedometer, tachometer and oil gauge are mounted on the steering column, where they are easy to see.
- Ergonomically designed, adjustable, tilt/telescopic steering wheel improves driving comfort and reduces fatigue.
- The steering column is routed through the dash instead of the floor, providing more room for the driver's feet.
- Optional automatic "neutral" with work brake is designed to allow the engine to return to idle speed with less than a 1-second lag.
- Provision is made for after-market customer-installed electronics, like CBs or dispatch radios
