New Holland

Overview

Get the Super Boom™ loader advantage

Seven New Holland Super Boom™ skid steer loaders beat the competition with superior visibility, more lift capacity, better stability, better durability and better dump height and reach. Whether you’re a farmer, contractor, landscaper or rental-yard operator, a Super Boom skid steer loader delivers unmatched versatility.

If your work takes you into extremely confined areas, consider the compact, economical L120 or L125 skid steer loaders with 600- and 700-lb. operating loads. Both models feature traditional rear-mounted lift linkage.

Super Boom loader design (Models L150, L160, L170, L175, L180, L185 and L190) provides unequaled dump height and reach. Its unique boom geometry, combined with a longer wheelbase and lower center of gravity, gives New Holland loaders more lift capacity per pound of total machine weight. That means they out-lift many heavier competitive machines and boost your productivity.

Super Boom loader durability and tough construction allow you to tackle the most demanding conditions.

Super Boom loader operator platform offers superior all-around visibility with responsive control.

Super Boom loader service is quick and easy with convenient access to maintenance points.

Super Boom loader attachments-New Holland offers over 60-more than anyone else! The Pick Up 'n Go™ universal attachment system on Super Boom models lets you hook up to all New Holland attachments, as well as many competitive attachments.

Super Boom loader accessories allow you to custom-build a skid steer loader, that matches your needs perfectly.

Design
New Holland

The unique Super Boom™ loader design gives you unequaled dump height and reach for outstanding productivity. Rock-steady stability provides you with confidence and security when working on rough or uneven terrain. That means you can travel with a full bucket or a large bale-and not worry about spillage or tipping over. You can also go forward up steep hills with an empty bucket, and down with a full one. That’s something you can’t do with most competitive models.

New Holland

With the patented Super Boom linkage, the higher the lift, the farther the reach. This linkage lifts its payload up and away, providing excellent reach at maximum height. The Super Boom loader design also helps keep the bucket level for less spillback, even with a full load.

New Holland

The unbeatable stability of Super Boom skid steer loaders results from a longer wheelbase, low center of gravity and proper weight distribution. This combination gives you a safer, more stable ride than any competitive loader.

With faster ground speeds, you can decrease cycle times and increase output. Dual-range transmissions with top travel speeds over 10 mph are optional on the L175, L180, L185 and L190.

New Holland

Lower overall height and compact frame allow Super Boom skid steer loaders to work in confined spaces that many competitive machines could never access.

Maximum safety is an integral part of the Super Boom skid steer loader design and includes:

  • Starter lockout that prevents the engine from cranking if the operator’s seatbelt is not buckled
  • ROPS (rollover protective structure) certified cab that is strong and reliable
  • Boom and bucket hydraulics that lock up the instant the seat belt is unbuckled or if the operator leaves the cab with the engine running
  • Standard mechanical boom locks-engaged from inside the cab-that secure the raised boom and protect the operator if the boom must be raised before exiting the machine.

Durability
New Holland We know how much you rely on your equipment. That’s why we’ve engineered and built Super Boom™ skid steer loaders to be tough and versatile. These machines thrive on hard work and demanding conditions.

Beefy boom and frame are built stronger so they can handle bigger loads.

Loader boom pivot pins are twice the diameter of many competitive machines for more strength and durability.

Powerful, responsive hydraulics and reliable electrical system are engineered to withstand severe applications.

Proven New Holland engines are designed to deliver outstanding torque rise, horsepower and fuel economy. These clean-burning, Tier II certified engines use indirect fuel injection on the L150, L160, L170 and L175, and direct injection on the L180, L185  and L190 models. Engines sit in a "north-south" orientation so the hydraulic pumps connect directly to the engine through a mechanical coupler. This greatly improves reliability and reduces maintenance since there are no drive belts to adjust.

Radiator fan pushes air out through the radiator (unlike competitive machines which pull air in), reducing radiator plugging in extremely dirty and dusty conditions.

Reliable transmission pumps deliver reduced control effort, less noise and improved high-flow packaging.

Piston-type hydraulic motors are more efficient, giving you more wheel torque from less engine power.

Auxiliary boom hydraulics are standard on all Super Boom loader models and are conveniently controlled by a handle on the right-hand control lever.

Continuous-duty high-flow hydraulics (available on the L170, L175, L180, L185  and L190)  provide maximum power hour after hour for a wide range of  high-flow attachments.

Cast iron axle housings provide rugged support for tough jobs and heavy loads.

Dual, endless final drive chains are arranged in bow-tie patterns, run in oil for long life and don't use a master link so they're stronger than ordinary chains.

Chain sprockets float on the axle shafts eliminating time-consuming chain alignment adjustments.

Operator Platform
New Holland

The large, roomy operator platform gives you all-day comfort and easy operation that leads to increased productivity. Part of the winning design is best-in-class visibility no matter where you look—to the front, rear, or either side.

The boom’s low front cross member provides an unobstructed view of the bucket’s cutting edge.

Metal side screens on the ROPS structure deliver excellent visibility to each side, while providing an added measure of operator protection.

New Holland Visibility to the rear is outstanding-no frame towers get in your way-and the large window and low, sloping engine hood provide excellent sight lines. This great visibility allows you to safely maneuver in tight places, minimizing the hard work required to finish the job.

Ample legroom and foot room add to your operating comfort.

Strategically placed grab handles and steps make it easy and safe to enter and exit.

Low-effort, self-neutralizing hand controls and responsive foot controls with adjustable pedal position make Super Boom skid steers easy to use and reduce fatigue.

New Holland Optional pilot controls (available on the L170, L175, L180, L185 and L190) put control of speed, direction, boom and bucket into the operator's hands. These joystick controls are power assisted for easy operation.

The contoured seat provides comfort and support even while traveling over the roughest terrain. An adjustable suspension seat is standard on the L160, L170, L175, L180, L185 and L190 and provides even greater operator comfort.

State-of-the-art electronic instrument control (EIC) panel is located directly in front of you. It constantly monitors all operating systems and alerts you to potential trouble with both visible and audible alarms.

Air conditioning is available from the factory on the L175, L180, L185 and L190.

Standard equipment includes a backup alarm, horn and work lights, front and rear.

A host of accessories and options allows you to custom build a Super Boom skid steer loader that matches your needs. Choose from a full cab enclosure kit, window kits, heater/defroster kit, hand controls kit and more.

Service

New Holland

All routine service points are conveniently located for fast, simple maintenance—even with the boom down. Super Boom™ skid steer loaders are durable and reliable, but if major service repairs are ever needed, these skid steer loaders are designed to keep downtime to a minimum.

Side panels can be removed easily without tools for excellent access to the engine.

Seat flips up without tools, providing easy access to the driveline components.

New Holland

Entire boom and cab assembly lift up and forward for unobstructed engine and transmission access should major service be necessary. The New Holland design offers the best access in the industry and guarantees that repairs are made efficiently and safely.

Engine panels and the rear deck can be locked with one padlock for jobsite security.

Long service intervals mean you spend more time on the job and less time performing maintenance:

  • Standard lubrication interval is a whopping 50 hours, unlike competitive machines requiring daily lubrication.
  • Engine oil and oil filter only need changing every 300 to 500 hours, depending on the model.
  • Hydraulic system and filter only require attention every 600 hours.

L120 and L125

New Holland

The two smallest New Holland skid steer loader models are ideal for working on job sites that are tight and narrow or those with low overhead clearance. They can handle plenty of work. Equipped with traditional rear-mounted linkage, these powerful workhorses are easy to operate and service. With rated operating loads of 600 and 700 pounds respectively, fast cycle times and 61.8-inch dump heights, the L120 and L125 handle a wide variety of hard work in a hurry.

New Holland

Narrow design allows the L120 and L125 to clear 48-inch wide openings, even with the widest buckets. With narrow tire and bucket options, they will go through a 36-inch wide gap.

Overall height of less than 6 feet and overall length of less than 8 feet make the L120 and L125 ideal for mucking stalls or for construction/demolition cleanup.

Heavy-duty conventional boom is designed for tough commercial applications.

Low center of gravity, long 32-inch wheelbase, and favorable front-to-rear weight distribution ensure good stability.

Two-cylinder, 18-gross hp, air-cooled Kohler gasoline engine powers the L120.

Three-cylinder, 16.5-gross hp, water-cooled diesel engine powers the L125.

Pin-type Quick-Attach mounting system makes attachment changes simple and easy.

Auxiliary boom hydraulics are available for maximum versatility and productivity when working with hydraulic-powered attachments.

Transmission disconnect disengages the hydrostatic drives to make cold weather starting easier.

Sealed circuit breakers improve electrical system reliability.

Select the bucket or utility fork that works best for your operation. Utility buckets are available in three sizes (36-, 42- and 47-inch) and utility forks in two sizes (36- and 42-inch).

New Holland Loadstar attachments are available to do lots of landscaping and material handling jobs. Choose from over a dozen, specially designed to work with the L120 or L125.
