If you have a lot to chop, FR Series self-propelled harvesters have a voracious appetite. These are the biggest choppers in the world, offering a new level of power, capacity and comfort. Five new models range from 424 to 824 horsepower-the most horsepower you’ll find anywhere for maximum capacity.

The Widest Feedrolls and Cutterhead in the Industry are the start of the FR harvester’s enormous capacity.

The New Variflow™ Accelerator and Crop Processor propel crop at maximum efficiency through the harvester. The accelerator drops closer to the cutterhead when the crop processor is removed, closing the gap to improve crop flow and reduce power consumption. The change is easy and requires no tools, so you can make the switch from corn to grass in just a few minutes!

Optional Kernel Processor uses ten-inch diameter rolls to process corn kernels while chopping to make feed more digestible and increase milk production.

New Higher Horsepower Engines and a Simplified Powertrain deliver maximum power using one main gearbox and fewer belts and driveshafts than previous systems.

A 13-inch Wide Spout and 210 Degrees of Spout Rotation allow for fast, precise crop discharge. Programmable spout position buttons make chopping from left to right easy. Plus, one push of the return-to-home button automatically sends the spout back to its rest.

Expanded Tire Options include 1050/50R32 flotation tires for soft conditions or 20.8R42 duals for maximum stability in hilly conditions.

New Holland Leads the Industry with Warranty Coverage with a one-year, full-coverage warranty with additional extended warranties available. New Holland is the only company that offers a warranty against ferrous metal intake for five years due to the superior metal detection of the Metaloc™ system.

The Massive 34-inch wide, 28-inch Diameter Cutterhead uses a chevron pattern of 16 or 24 knives to chop cleanly and quickly. You get the choice of corn or grass knives to match your crop needs.

The Proven Hydroloc™ Feedroll Drive System allows you to adjust length-of-cut on the go to match crop conditions.

Optional Dual Drive allows you to adjust header speed independently of feedroll speed right from the cab for optimum chopping performance.

A Hydraulically Controlled Sharpening System delivers positive, high-speed knife sharpening. Plus, a new stone door is designed to hydraulically lift open to reduce binding and speed up the sharpening process.

The patented FR crop flow system features the new Variflow™ accelerator that handles tough crop conditions like a blower and provides smooth crop flow in both corn and grass. In corn, crop flows smoothly through the optional crop processor and into the accelerator for maximum efficiency.  When the processor is removed, the Variflow accelerator drops to a position closer to the cutterhead to continue the smooth flow of crop in grass.

The Low Power Requirements of the VariFlow system ensures that power is not robbed from the cutterhead, while still producing a strong stream of corn leaves from the spout. 

The Large Optional Crop Processor uses ten-inch rolls that are 30 inches wide-more than enough to handle the entire crop flow delivered through the machine. A sawtooth pattern on the rolls provides aggressive processing to virtually guarantee that all the kernels are cracked. The rolls are also chromed to provide long life even in abrasive conditions.

Rolls Can be Adjusted Easily From the Cab. Just flip a switch, refer to the digital readout on the screen and adjust the rolls to perfectly control processing quality.

Switching from Corn to Grass Takes only Minutes, with no Tools. A hand pump located inside the new large service area hydraulically swings the crop processor back out of the crop flow. No belts need to be loosened. While the crop processor is out, a grass plate is installed to complete the crop transition chute. While operating in grass, the crop processor stays in the harvester, and the greasing system is still connected and lubricating the crop processor. New Holland recommends that the rolls continue to be allowed to turn. During extended periods of hay harvest, the entire processor can be completely removed in about 30 minutes with a few simple tools and a supplied hoist.

The Industry-leading Accelerator Position Adjustment Feature ensures continued efficiency and productivity in grass. When the Variflow system swings the crop possessor out of the crop flow, the accelerator moves down closer to the cutterhead, greatly reducing the distance hay must travel to the accelerator. This feature practically eliminates the risk of tough, gummy hay causing a plugging problem since the accelerator is so close to the cutterhead. The additional advantage is horsepower savings, since not as much power is needed to propel crop through the harvester.

The PowerCruise™ Engine Load Management System automatically monitors engine load and reduces ground speed when engine load increases, then returns to faster ground speeds when the going gets easier.

Reliable in-line, Six-cylinder Iveco Engines Power the FR9040 (424 hp), FR9050 (500 hp) and FR9060 (576 hp), providing outstanding chopping capacity and fuel economy.

A Turbo Compound Diesel Powers the FR9060. This advanced double-turbo system recovers exhaust gas and reuses it, delivering more power to the harvester and reducing fuel consumption.

A Caterpiller C18 Engine on the FR9080 delivers 685 horsepower to handle heavy crops.

The FR harvester cab is designed for all-day comfort and phenomenal visibility. You can spend long hours in the FR cab and still feel great.

The Curved Windshield gives you an expansive view to the front and sides, with direct visibility to the header. The cab roof slopes up to the rear, providing a fantastic view to the side and rear for easy viewing of the spout and truck or trailer.

The Right-hand Control Console puts everything you need right at your fingertips-not on the corner post-so the controls don’t interfere with your line of sight.

Automatic Headland and Spout Functions save you time and effort at the end of every pass. The head turns off and on automatically as you raise and lower it at the headland. Three programmable spout positions make switching from side to side easy.
