Best-in-class, Heavy-duty Feeder/Header Reverser allows you to control slugs easily and quickly from the cab. You can operate the system in either forward or reverse independent of the threshing unit to “reverse out” slugs and slowly feed material back into the combine.

A Multitude of Options allows you to equip your CX8000 combine to your specifications. Here are just a few:

Large Grain Tanks, from 295 to 330 bushels with foldable extensions, let you operate longer, unload less frequently. Grain tank covers are optional and can be controlled from the cab.

New Membrane-type Grain Tank Level Sensors provide improved reliability. At 75% capacity, an audible alarm and light alert the operator, while optional flashing beacons alert the grain cart or truck operator. A second audible alarm and warning light alert the operator when 100% capacity is reached.

A grain sampling access door is located beside the cab entrance for quick check of grain samples.

Long Unloading Augers feature a new discharge profile to provide an end discharge for an effective unloading length of 21 or 24 feet, making unloading easier with today’s large headers.

A Fast 3.2-bu./sec. Unloading Speed on all models adds to your productivity.

Complete Residue Management system allows you to control both chaff and straw with the flip of a lever. The chaff coming from the cleaning shoe can be blown into the chopper and spread together with the chopped straw. You can also windrow the straw and spread the chaff to eliminate the mat of chaff under the straw. This reduces dust and improves straw bale quality.

A New Straw Chopper features an increased 3500-rpm speed for shorter crop length for a wider more even spread of material. Dual, reversible, serrated knives deliver superior chop quality.

The New Ten-fin Spread Board allows you to change the straw spread pattern with adjustable deflectors. A redesigned nose plate also enhances the even spreading. In addition, four-position, adjustable straw rakes are included for optimum windrow formation.

A Lockable Splined Coupler located directly on the driveshaft engages the straw chopper. It's a simple, effective system that requires no maintenance.

Easy, One-lever, Left-side Head Latching System provides safe, secure, fast head connection. No need to kneel on the ground! A hydraulic multi-coupler provides one-step quick connect and disconnect for all hydraulic functions.

New Holland Heads are the perfect match for the high capacity of CX8000 combines:

  • Model 72C Rigid and 74C Flexible Cutterbar Headers are designed for maximum capacity and feature a 26-inch full finger auger for smooth, even feeding.
  • Model 76C Windrow Pickups are available in two designs to match your needs, with 12-, 14- and 16-foot pickup widths.
  • Draper Headers including rice belt (Model 92C) and grain belt (Model 94C) headers, feature ultimate smooth feeding to enhance combine performance.
  • Model 88C Floating Cutter Bar Draper Header is ideal for on-ground harvesting of soybeans, peas and lentils.
  • Model 98C Corn Head uses a unique low-profile design to get under downed corn easily. It also features automatic head height and lateral float (Terrain Tracer).

IntelliSteer™ Auto Guidance Complete

All CX8000 combines can be ordered with IntelliSteer™ auto guidance factory installed. (If required, the NH252 receiver/antenna has to be added.) IntelliSteer now incorporates more guidance functionality like straight A/B, curve, heading circles and spirals.

 

Chaff Spreaders

CR Series-style chaff spreader (with two horizontal discs) can be factory- or dealer-installed. Chaff spreaders are installed instead of chaff blowers for customers who do not want to distribute chaff via the straw chopper. Disc chaff spreaders can be installed on combines with or without a straw chopper.

 

 

New Decaling

CX8000 Series decaling now reflects an updated version of the New Holland leaf, and New Holland blue replaces the multiple colors of the former decal.

 
Threshing/Separating
There's one word to describe the capacity of the CX8000 harvesting system-HUGE. The exclusive CX8000 threshing and separating system features a patented rotary separator that separates nearly all the grain before it's delivered to the straw walkers. Convenient adjustments make it easy to handle changing crop conditions.
 

Threshing

The Heavy Threshing Cylinder on CX8000 combines is 29.5 inches in diameter and has ten rasp bars for increased capacity. It generates greater inertia to more easily thresh tough, uneven feeding conditions. For even more capacity in hard threshing conditions, CX8000 combines can be equipped with a cast steel cylinder.

Full-width Stone Trap provides complete peace-of-mind protection.

The Concave uses 16 bars and has a wrap angle of 111 degrees, providing a large 1829-sq. inch surface area which promotes increased separation, less grain damage and less loss.

The CX8000 Rear Beater uses eight fixed plates and rotates at the same speed as the threshing drum to provide a smooth transition of material to the rotary separator to cope with a huge CX8000 appetite.

 

The Patented New Holland Rotary Separator is what makes a CX8000 combine SUPER conventional. Only New Holland has it. The rotary separator removes 50 to 70% of the grain passing over the cylinder/concave before going to the straw walkers. It's even larger and more effective than previous TX models, measuring 28.3 inches in diameter with a larger 1441-sq. inch grate and is equipped with twelve welded bars. Two speeds and two clearance settings allow you to match changing conditions and crops.

 

The Straw Flow Beater cleans crop from the rotary separator and positions straw on the front of the straw walkers, and it provides a fluffier straw mat for better grain separation. The crop clearance has been doubled from the prior TX models for more capacity.

The Large Straw Walker Area has been increased in size to provide a massive surface area and maximize crop flow to the cleaning system. A steeper angle provides greater separating action.

Exclusive Double Returns System delivers tailings to the rotor-rethresher drum and concave where the crop is vigorously rethreshed and carried by an auger to an impeller where it is evenly distributed onto the grain pan. Competitive machines deliver returns back to the cylinder which can compromise the capacity of the main threshing area and negatively affect grain quality. The IntelliView™ monitor informs you of the returns status.

 
Cleaning System
The CX8000 self-leveling cleaning system not only cleans grain efficiently, it also saves grain. The whole cleaning system including the fan, grain pan and sieves are kept level at all times, eliminating grain loss caused by uneven material distribution. The unique SLS is not just for hills. It provides unmatched cleaning capacity on flat ground and continues to deliver ultimate cleaning efficiency on slopes up to 17%.
 

The Largest Cleaning Area in the Industry-10,075 square inches total sieve area-gives CX8000 combines massive cleaning capacity.

The Grain Pan is large with no dividers, and it’s always kept level, so grain can stratify, spread out and separate easily. Competitive cleaning systems use augers, which actually serve to mix grain and chaff together, making it harder to separate and clean grain.

The Oscillating Motion of the Grain Pan lifts and deposits grain repeatedly, stratifying it before it reaches the pre-cleaner sieve. The heavier free grain sifts to the bottom. When the grain and chaff reach the sieves, the grain falls through to the next level of cleaning while the lighter chaff is lifted to the top and blown away by the cleaning fan. Unthreshed grain (tailings) is re-threshed separately for maximum capacity.

The Cleaning Fan provides a huge volume of air to the sieves and is controlled electrically from the cab.

An Adjustable Pre-cleaning Sieve is positioned right behind the grain pan to immediately separate a large quantity of grain and direct it to the bottom sieve. A lever at the rear of the combine allows you to easily adjust the pre-cleaning sieve.

Top Chaffer Sieve and Bottom Cleaning Sieves are fully adjustable to handle all crop conditions. Sieves can easily be adjusted to assure a cleaner sample and lower losses. An optional control allows you to adjust the sieves on the go from the cab.

 
Engine

Hard-working, electronically controlled, fuel-efficient turbocharged engines deliver 322 horsepower on the CX8070, 350 horsepower on the CX8080 and 400 horsepower on the CX8090 at rated rpm. These six-cylinder diesels have a reserve of power to meet any challenge in the field, and are renowned for their reliability and long life.

 

Ample Torque Backup gets you through the toughest field conditions without loss of threshing speed. Instantaneous governor response keeps harvest going in tough spots.

Rocker Switch, featured on the throttle, allows the operator to select a full range of engine rpm's.

 

The IntelliView™ II Monitor automatically keeps track of all critical engine functions, and immediately alerts the operator to any difficulties.

 

Large 265-gallon Fuel Tank Capacity (200-gallon on the CX8070) provides for long hours of continuous operation.

A Large Nine-blade Cooling Fan draws air through the cooling radiators. A higher-speed fan with a dust wiper for maximum cooling capacity is featured on the CX8090.

The Self-cleaning Rotary Screen eliminates the chaff and large particles before they reach the fan. An optional rotary screen dust brush is available for conditions where rotary screen plugging may persist.

With a full 110 cubic feet of space, the Harvest Suite cab gives you more usable room in all directions, including headroom, space behind the seat and legroom.

 

A Huge, Curved, Tinted Windshield provides an unrivaled view, and the longer New Holland feederhouse provides outstanding visibility of the head and the after-cut.

Four Rubber Silencer Blocks make this cab virtually vibration-free and the quietest on the market.

 

Standard Air Suspension Seat is fully adjustable to maximize your comfort.

The Steering Column adjusts three ways to maximize your visibility and legroom

A Full-width Instructional Seat offers superb comfort and safety when training operators.

 

Ample Storage Area includes space in the armrest and under both seats and a large compartment under the rear deck behind the seat.

Standard Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) cools and warms to keep the cab temperature just right for you.

 

The IntelliView™ II Color Display provides a wealth of information at a glance. Soft key navigation allows you to easily customize the performance information on the seven-inch screen. You can monitor header height, rotor performance, sieve performance, grain loss, tailings, the self-leveling cleaning system and more. The system includes complete onboard diagnostics to track critical engine functions, alerting you immediately to any difficulties. Data logging capability can be achieved using a USB connection.

 

The Optional, Fully-portable IntelliView™ Plus II Color Display features touch-screen navigation and a 10.4-inch diagonal screen. This monitor can be used with yield logging, yield mapping and the optional IntelliSteer™ auto guidance system.

 

Right-hand Control Console gives you fingertip access to all cutting, feeding threshing, separating and cleaning system controls. A lever at the front of the console allows you to position the console to suit your needs perfectly. These remote adjustments can be made from the cab:

  • Concave clearance
  • Thresher speed
  • Cleaning fan speed
  • Auto reel speed offset
  • Upper sieve opening
  • Lower sieve opening
  • Hydraulic deck plates (if header equipped)
 

Programmable Push-button Crop Settings allow you to move quickly from one crop to another.

Electronic Four-speed Transmission makes shifting as easy as turning a dial.

 

The Convenient, in-line Multi-Function Handle gives you fingertip control of the hydrostatic drive, header, reel, unloading auger swing and engagement, as well as an emergency stop control.

 

A Wide Inspection Window at the rear of the cab allows you to check grain tank level and grain quality at a glance.

Best-in-class Lighting Package provides 360-degree, even illumination. There are six worklights mounted on the cab roof, eight more on the underside of the cab and, and two "row-finder" lights mounted to the mirror brackets. The "row-finder" lights illuminate when the head is raised at the end of the field, or when the engine is shut off and the operator exits the cab and closes the door. It stays on for 90 seconds-enough time for the operator to get to his truck.

Standard Rotating Beacons aid in road transport and signal grain cart and truck drivers that the grain tank is full.

Four Optional Rearview Mirrors (two are heated) can be positioned electrically from inside the cab.

 
Precision Land Management

Precision Land Management (PLM) is fully integrated into the design of a CX8000 combine, with several systems available factory-installed.

 

On-the-go Moisture Only Sensing
The CR moisture sensor is mounted in the clean grain elevator housing and constantly samples the grain, measures its electronic conductivity, and calculates and displays its moisture content on the IntelliView™ monitor.

 
On-the-go Yield and Moisture Sensing
The exclusive, patented New Holland yield monitor uses a unique grain mass flow sensor to provide you with extremely accurate measurements on the go-without the need for frequent calibrations. The sensor plate is mounted in the top of the grain elevator and incorporates a pivoting device and counterweight, which keeps the system balanced when working on slopes and neutralizes the rubbing effect of different kinds of grain to guarantee a precise measurement. Unlike other yield measurement systems, there's no need to re-calibrate when you change crops. The New Holland system requires calibration only once per season.
 
On-the-go Yield and Moisture Sensing with Data Logging
The New Holland data logger is installed in the side IntelliView Plus II monitor. There's no need for extra add-on boxes in the cab.
 
On-the-go Yield and Moisture Sensing with DGPS Mapping
The New Holland global positioning receiver with differential correction (DGPS) reports your precise geographic location as you harvest. It's capable of receiving both Coast Guard beacon differential and L-Band satellite differential for parallel tracking.
 

Map it, Analyze it and Print it.
When you equip your CX8000 combine with a New Holland DGPS system, you can use the valuable field data you collect with the yield and moisture sensors to prepare yield maps and better understand yield variations. Yield and moisture readings are stored on a data card, which you can download into a personal computer. Using New Holland Precision Land Management mapping software, the data can be viewed and thoroughly analyzed.

Precision Land Management data is viewed on the IntelliView screen, so there is no need for a second monitor. (See "Cab" page for details on IntelliView.)

 

WAAS, OmniSTAR VBS, OmniSTAR XP/ HP, and RTK Capability
The new fully portable NH252 antenna receiver provides WAAS, OmniSTAR VBS, OmniSTAR XP/ HP, and RTK capability. (RTK requires software upgrade to the receiver and the addition of a radio receiver).

Service and Support
Daily maintenance of a CX8000 combine is ultra-easy. There are no daily grease zerks. Gull-wing side shields and inner shields are easy to open. Adjustments to threshing components are also made easy.
 

Large Gull-wing Shielding raises on gas struts to provide easy access to service points on both sides.

An Under-shield Light Kit is standard equipment to provide added visibility in low-light conditions.

Service Platforms fold out under the open gull-wing shielding on the left side of the combine, allowing you to stand safely and reach higher service points.

Toolbox Under the Service Platforms provides space for storage.

Access Ladder to the rear deck folds away easily.

Two Large Access Panels and the Stonetrap Door provide unrivaled access to the threshing cylinder and concave.

Easy Access to the Rear Beater and Rotary Separator is gained by removing a plate in the grain tank.

De-awning Plates can be engaged to the underside of the drum concave in seconds when you need a more aggressive threshing action. The adjustment can be made through access panels on the side of the combine.

The Rotary Separator Speed can be changed easily by releasing a belt tension lever and repositioning the belt on a second set of pulleys.

The Position of the Beater and Rotary Separator Concaves can be adjusted using a handle on the right side of the combine. The upper position provides maximum harvesting capacity in cereals. The lower position provides more gentle handling of brittle straw and canola.

The Redesigned Engine Cover provides even easier engine access.

A Water Detection Sensor has been added on the water separator in the primary fuel filter.

Optional Air Compressor and Tank allow you to easily clean debris from the combine and radiator.
