Engine
The six-cylinder New Holland turbocharged and intercooled engine delivers reliable power and has enough lugging power for the toughest jobs. The proven "parent bore" block design provides years of dependable service.
Up to 60% PTO torque reserve lets you power a wide variety of implements.
Peak torque occurs at 1400 to 1800 rpm, with maximum power at a rated speed of 1800 rpm, so you get incredible lugging ability over a wide range of engine speeds.
Large 456 cubic inch displacement means this engine doesn't have to work as hard as smaller displacement engines to generate rated horsepower.
Large intake ports swirl air as it enters the combustion chamber for better fuel-to-air mixing, more complete combustion, and better fuel economy.
Transmission
"Forward" and "reverse" are irrelevant concepts when you work with a Bidirectional™ tractor. The unique, three-speed, electrically controlled hydrostatic drive system efficiently transfers power to the ground and gives you equal and unlimited variation of speed in either direction.
Choose from three ranges by pressing a three-position switch on the right-hand console. You can shift between ranges on the go to react quickly to changing working conditions. (Speeds indicated are average, with 480/85 R34VT tires.)
Range 1 (0 to 5 mph)
- Provides ample power for draft work and is excellent for loader work. The hydrostatic drive can be shuttled from a slow forward speed while filling the bucket to a faster reverse speed when the bucket is full.
Range 2 (0 to 8 mph)
- Ideal for most PTO work. Infinite hydrostatic speeds allow ground speed to be perfectly matched to changing crop conditions.
Range 3 (0 to 18 mph)
- Transport range. Hydrostatic drive allows travel speeds to be easily adjusted for changing road conditions.
One handy lever lets you control both speed and direction. There's no need to clutch or search for the right gear. Push the lever forward, you move forward. The further you push it, the faster you go. Pull it back, and the TV145 slows gradually, shifts into neutral and then reverse. It's the best shuttling transmission you'll find, which makes the TV145 perfect for loader work.
Braking action is built in to the hydrostatic system. To smoothly stop the tractor, simply pull the forward-neutral-reverse lever slowly toward the neutral position. The tractor foot brake pedal at either end of the cab activates a hydraulically actuated wet disc brake system if you need additional braking force.
Infinite choice of slow speeds on the Bidirectional is superior to those offered by competitive brand creeper transmissions.
Hydraulics
When it comes to hydraulic power, the TV145 gives you more--more flow, more remotes and more value.
The specially designed closed-center, load-sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system supplies 30 gallons per minute for fast implement response. An auxiliary closed-center, non-load-sensing hydraulic system with 35 gpm can be added for continuous flow applications requiring a combination of high-flow and high-pressure hydraulic drives.
A total of five factory-installed remotes are available. Three CCLS remote valves are standard at the cab end, with two additional remotes available at the engine end.
Convenient, in-cab flow control knobs are standard equipment for all three cab-end circuits.
Green, tan and blue color coding of the couplers, flow controls and engagement levers makes it easy to keep track of hydraulic operation
Up to 8700 pounds of lift allow you to handle larger implements--and more of them. The standard Category II three point hitch at the cab end has a lift capacity of 4564 pounds. An auxiliary cylinder increases the lift capacity to an industry-leading 8700 pounds.
Standard flexible link ends make implement hookup fast.
Telescoping stabilizers control the sway of the lower links while working and during transport.
An optional engine-end three-point hitch lifts up to 4000 pounds to give you added flexibility and productivity.
A position display on the cab electronic instrument cluster shows the positions of the cab-end and optional engine-end three-point hitches.
Double your PTO productivity by equipping your TV145 with two PTOs. A two-speed 540- and 1000-rpm PTO shaft is standard at the cab end. A two-speed 540- and 1000-rpm shaft at the engine end is a factory- or dealer-installed option.
4WD
Full-time four-wheel drive and articulated steering allow you to work in places a typical tractor can't.
Full-time four-wheel drive with four equal-size tires provides the Bidirectional™ superior traction in wet, icy or muddy conditions. Slippage is minimized, resulting in more effective horsepower and less tire wear.
The Bidirectional articulates up to 45 degrees so you can turn faster, sharper and more accurately for reduced crop damage at the end of the rows, and better maneuverability with a loader. You get best-in-class turning at all track settings. The TV145 wheelbase is longer than competitive models for a better ride and more comfort.
A differential lock at the cab end locks both wheels together to provide more pull in tough spots. An optional engine-end differential lock provides traction at all four wheels. Both are electro-hydraulically controlled with rocker switches on the right-hand console.
Over nine different bias and radial tire packages are available to suit your needs. Two offer special advantages:
-
Non-directional tires have lugs that are always facing forward, so they perform equally well no matter what direction you're driving.
-
46-inch tires are available for high-clearance work like spraying or swathing. The Bidirectional offers additional row-crop advantages like superior visibility to the rows and extremely slow speeds, built in to the hydrostatic drive system.
Cab
The TV145 work environment is like no other. You can choose to face the engine end or the cab end--whatever direction is best for the job. Either way, you'll appreciate this roomy control center that's designed for your convenience and comfort.
The unique Turnabout™ console allows the entire operator area--the air ride seat, steering wheel, gauges and controls--to pivot 210 degrees as a unit, so you can face the direction that's best for the job. The console can also be offset 15 degrees for added comfort when looking back.
61 square feet of glass provides an outstanding view in any direction. Visibility os excellent no matter which direction you face. There's no stretching or straining to see your work. You'll be impressed by the view facing the "cab end." Operating a loader or other implement, your view is exceptional.
All hand controls are within easy, natural reach, and remain that way regardless of the direction you're facing.
The state-of-the-art electronic instrument cluster (EIC) is standard equipment and keeps you informed at a glance. It's easy to adapt to your applications. The control pad at the lower right allows you to select which functions to view on the central electronic monitor--engine rpm, ground speed, PTO speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage or service intervals.
The warning light bar around the top of the dashboard includes indicators for all critical functions. An automatic shut-down function stops the tractor if a critical malfunction occurs.
Overhead heat and air conditioning controls are easy to reach.
Two doors allow you to enter or exit the cab from either side, depending on the position of the Turnabout console.
Wipers and work lights on both windshields help you see what you're doing in all weather conditions. If you put in hours after dark, the four work lights on the cab end and the four work lights on the engine end provide excellent visibility.

Service
Servicing your Bidirectional™ tractor is a no-hassle experience. Routine maintenance can be completed without raising the hood and without the interference of a loader. For complete access, the hood flips up and out of the way without tools. With the hood fully raised, you can easily reach all components of the engine and cooling system.
Sight gauges for hydraulic oil and clear reservoirs for coolant and brake fluid make level checks especially easy.
The oil dipstick and fill port can be reached without lifting the hood.
Two fuel tanks (55-gallon total capacity) are located in front of the cab and can be reached conveniently from the ground.
Two fuel filters ensure that only clean, moisture-free fuel enters the combustion chamber.
Engine air filters are accessible from ground level. Easy spin-off wing nuts make cleaning or replacing a breeze.
7614 Loader
The Bidirectional™ tractor is ideal for loader work. It provides infinite speeds, better turning and easier shuttling. And, the 7614 loader is attached to the cab end of the tractor, so you enjoy a number of advantages over conventional tractors including:
-
Exceptional visibility to the cutting edge of the loader bucket since there's no tractor hood in the way.
-
A wider loader frame, providing more strength and stability.
-
Hydraulic hoses that are shorter and fit better since they don't have to be routed around the length of the tractor.
-
Easier regular maintenance since there's no need to raise, reach through or reach over the loader.
The 8000-pound breakout force and 64-inch reach are far superior to competitive loaders.
Quick attachment and removal of the 7614 loader makes moving from job to job easy.
Multiple buckets and attachments make the TV145 even more versatile. Choose from two quick-attach buckets, a grapple, and manure tines.
