TNF-A Narrow Tractors
Work with maximum efficiency in tight quarters
New
TNF-A narrow tractors from New Holland are the ideal choice for the
orchard or vineyard. Three models combine outstanding power and
maneuverability with the narrow width, lower center of gravity and
sleek design needed when working in the tight rows and close quarters
of orchards and vineyards.
|
|
A "crop-friendly" design
allows TNF-A narrow tractors to work in the tightest rows without
damaging fruit and foliage. Features includes a sleek cab (or foldable
rollbar), underhood muffler, rounded hood, flexible fenders, recessed
lighting and front flexible turn signals (on the cab front pillars on
cab models and on the rollbar support on less-cab tractors).
New side panels improve crop protection around the engine
compartment.

|
|
Four-cylinder, 238-cu. in. engines operate at a low 2300 rpm for added durability and low noise levels.
And, these engines are Tier II emission certified to go easier on the
environment
Powerful TNF-A hydraulics uses two separate open-center hydraulic circuits to ensure full flow
for operating implements, three-point hitch and tractor operations.
Select from two smooth-shifting transmissions
—the 16 x 16 Synchro Command™ transmission with a synchronized mechanical
shuttle or the 32 x 16 Dual Command™ transmission with a
clutch-less power shuttle.
The optional SuperSteer™ FWD axle is
a New Holland exclusive that provides a 76-degree turn angle for the
shortest row-to-row turning in the industry. This option also includes
a Traction Management System that engages FWD only when needed.
An economical 2WD front axle is also available if you work in conditions where front-wheel drive is not required.
The TNF-A operator station provides exceptional comfort and visibility. Select the foldable,
mid-mount rollbar or choose the all-weather cab with air conditioning,
heater, two doors and deluxe air filtration.
Service points
are easy to reach, saving you time and hassle.
Switchable 540- /1000-rpm PTO
allows you to run a variety of implements. The PTO operates
independently of the tractor driveline. Hydraulic servo-assist PTO
engagement provides for low-effort PTO engagement with feathering
capability.

Engine
Underneath
the smooth lines and curved hood of TNF-A narrow tractors resides
intense power. Four-cylinder, 238-cu. in. engines rise to any challenge
with smooth, responsive power. And, they go easy on the environment
with lower emissions.
|
|
|
Impressive torque rise allows TNF-A narrow tractors to handle heavy loads and tough conditions.
A heavy-duty, cast iron engine block and a dry-sleeve design provide longer service life than competitive wet sleeve engines, without the risk of coolant contamination.
The low 2300-rpm rated engine speed reduces noise, vibration and extends engine life.
|
A cross-flow design
pulls air in from the right side of the cylinder head and expels it on
the left side. Intake air remains cool and dense, resulting in superior
combustion and maximum power production.
|
|
|
A premium Bosch rotary fuel-injection pump and five-hole injectors provide precise fuel metering and delivery into all cylinders.
A 16.1-gallon fuel tank provides for long operation between fill-ups.
Larger 85-amp alternator is standard on cab models. A 65-amp alternator is standard on less-cab models.
|
|
Transmissions
TNF-A
narrow tractor transmissions use high-precision helical cut gears for
quiet operation and provide the convenience of a left-hand, in-line
forward/reverse shuttle lever. A 16 x 16 Synchro Command™ transmission
with mechanical shuttle is standard equipment, or choose the optional
32 x 16 Dual Command™ transmission with power shuttle.
|
|
|
The 16 x 16 Synchro Command transmission with mechanical shuttle
makes work a pleasure by providing an equal number of forward and
reverse gears. All forward gears are matched to a reverse gear of the
same speed for fast, efficient shuttling.
The 32 x 16 Dual Command transmission with power shuttle
provides double the speeds for added versatility. A push button on the
shift lever gives you a high/low shift for each forward gear. The
powershift is available on the go, under load, and without clutching.
The low speed provides 20% less speed at the wheels and increased
torque, allowing you to power through tough spots or gear down to stop.
A low 0.31-mph speed on either transmission is great for slow-moving jobs like spraying or harvesting.
A synchronized, left-side, in-line forward/reverse shuttle is featured on both transmissions. This allows you to use your right hand for implement control.
The clutch-less, electro-hydraulic power shuttle
for the optional 32 x 16 Dual Command transmission makes
forward/reverse shifts virtually effortless. The shuttle lever is
mounted on the left side of the steering column and allows you to
keep your hands on the wheel so you can shift from forward to
reverse with your fingertips. It saves you the hassle of frequent
clutching and saves the driveline from wear and tear.
A mechanical diff lock (2WD models) allows you to
lock the rear axles together for extra traction on-the-go with a foot
pedal. The diff lock automatically disengages when it's no longer
needed, or you can manually disengage it by tapping a brake pedal.
An electro-hydraulic diff lock for both front and rear axles provides maximum pulling power on FWD models.
|
|
Hydraulics
Two
hydraulic gear pumps are the heart of two separate open-center
hydraulic circuits for TNF-A narrow tractors. One pump supplies
the remotes and three-point hitch. The second pump supplies flow for
the tractor, including a dedicated flow to steering, to the power
shuttle, Dual Command™ transmission, FWD, front and rear hydraulic diff
locks and for lubricating the transmission.
|
|
|
A standard 12.4-gpm implement gear pump feeds the remote valves and three-point hitch on TN75FA, TN85FA, and 2WD TN95FA models.
A larger 16.9-gpm implement pump is standard on FWD
TN95FA and available as a factory installed option on FWD TN75FA and
TN85FA tractors. It is also standard with a 32 x 16 Dual Command
transmission. The 16.9-gpm pump package includes a hydraulic oil cooler
for increased cooling efficiency.
A dedicated 7.2-gpm gear-type steering pump allows for precise, low effort steering, and allows the main hydraulic pump to be fully used for the work at hand.
An upgraded 9.2-gpm steering pump is used for models with the 32 x 16 Dual Command transmission for more cooling capacity.
Up to three rear remote valves (two are standard) are available and feature deluxe, quick-release couplers for "under pressure" connection.
A dealer-installed two-function, mid-mount valve kit with joystick
is available for front-mounted attachments. The two mid-mount
valves are standard equipment on TN95FA tractors ordered with the front
three-point hitch and PTO. The valves have flow control
capability to 2.64 gpm.
|
Optional front three-point hitch and front 1000-rpm PTO
are available for the FWD TN95FA model. The front hitch and PTO are
electronically controlled and allow you to handle multiple tasks with
one trip between the rows.
|
|
|
Remote lever controls
are located to the right of the seat and their handles are
color-coordinated with the caps on the valve couplers at the rear of
the tractor—so you're always sure you're using the correct lever.
A 4,400-pound, SAE-rated three-point hitch lift capacity allows you to take full advantage of the largest implements for maximum productivity.
A "quick-lift" feature on the three-point hitch allows you to raise or lower implements with the push of a button—a convenience not found on competitive-brand tractor. You set the desired raise height and operating position.
Lower link draft sensing is standard. You can operate the hitch in draft control mode, position control mode, or a combination.

|
SuperSteer™ FWD Axle
When you need the added traction of a FWD axle, TNF-A narrow
tractors are available with the patented and exclusive New Holland
SuperSteer™ FWD axle. It provides the benefit of the tightest turning
performance in the industry, as well as an automatic Traction
Management System.
|
|
|
An incredible 76 degrees of total turn angle
is possible because the SuperSteer axle articulates 21 degrees in
addition to the standard 55-degree turn angle. When the axle
articulates, the outside wheel moves in front of the nose of the
tractor, and the inside wheel moves away from the tractor frame. This
provides more tire clearance and a greater turn angle, allowing you to
maneuver easily in close quarters or turn sharply at the end of each
row.
The Traction Management System engages front wheel drive automatically when needed for optimum traction, braking and control—even
on hills. When slip is detected in the rear wheels, the front wheels
automatically engage and stay powered until no longer needed, or until
you turn them off manually.
An added plus on hills: the Traction Management
System also monitors operation on hills. When the tractor travels
downhill and the system detects negative slip in the rear wheels, it
engages FWD, allowing you to gain more control of the tractor and its
load. Going uphill, FWD is automatically engaged as soon as the rear
wheels slip.
When you press both brakes, the Traction Management System reacts, engaging FWD to assist with stopping.
Electro-hydraulically engaged diff locks for both front and rear axles provide maximum pulling power.

Non-cab tractors feature an open platform design with an adjustable vinyl seat.
The digital instrument cluster is the most informative in the business.
|
The extra-roomy, optional cab
provides all-weather comfort with an adjustable thermostat that
controls heat and air conditioning. Cab amenities include a deluxe seat
that is fully adjustable and two wide-opening doors.
|
|
A deluxe cab air filtration package
keeps the operator safe and breathing freely. The standard air filters
are fine mesh pollen filters, and filters in the recirculation vents
provide more protection. Carbon filters are available through parts as
replacement items.
|
|
Service Points
Daily service checks on TNF-A narrow tractors are quick and easy, allowing you to stay on schedule.
|
|
|
The convenient, flip-up hood lifts easily and is supported by a prop rod.
Engine oil can be checked or topped off on the left side of the engine, without raising the hood or removing a side panel.
A single dipstick at the rear of the tractor allows you to check the oil level of the transmission, hydraulic and steering oil reservoir.
Ample fuel tank capacity of 16.1 gallons keeps
refills to a minimum. The fuel fill is easy to reach from the ground
and is located at the front of the tractor beneath the hood.
