TL-A Tractors
Built-in value
TL-A Series utility tractors give new meaning to the phrase "value added." Take a closer look and notice the generous number of outstanding features that New Holland includes as standard equipment to set TL-A tractors apart from the rest.
Outstanding visibility results from the sloped hood and new headlight design.
Heavier construction and excellent stability compared to competitive-brand tractors of the same size mean TL-A utility tractors handle extra-heavy-duty work and pull heavier equipment.
- The larger, heavier front axle allows TL-A models to easily handle the everyday strain of heavy loader work and other axle-taxing conditions.
- Greater strength and weight than competitive-brand tractors means you won't be pushed around by the weight of a round baler or heavy "bat-wing" mowers—even on slopes.
- Wide wheel settings up to 84 inches, combined with the added weight of TL-A tractors, provide added stability on hills.
- A long wheelbase further improves stability and gives you a smooth ride.
Gutsy New Holland engines deliver instant response and impressive lugging power so you get your work done smoothly, quickly and without slow-down.
TL-A transmissions provide more speed choices and easier shuttling than other tractors in this power class—whether you choose the Standard 12 x 12 Synchro Command™ transmission with mechanical shuttle or the Deluxe 24 x 24 Dual Command™ transmission with column-mounted power shuttle.
The high-capacity hydraulic system with 20 gallons per minute of total flow and best-in-class, 5,745-pound three-point lift capacity increase your productivity.
Exclusive Lift-O-Matic™ feature allows you to raise or lower the three-point hitch with the touch of a button.
Choose the operator station that suits your needs —the spacious flat deck or the all-weather cab. Both provide plenty of legroom, outstanding visibility and ergonomically placed right-hand controls to keep you comfortable and productive all day long.
TL-A tractors are naturals for loader work. Two loader models—the 32LC or 52LC—allow you to select the performance and pricing that matches your needs.
Fast maintenance and servicing reduces downtime and gets you back to the job fast.
Your choice of models! Choose from three horsepower levels, 2WD or FWD, and a flat deck or all-weather cab. Finally, choose the convenience level that matches your operation—the TL-A Standard or the TL-A Deluxe package.
TL-A Standard models offer plenty of impressive features and conveniences:
- 12 x 12 Synchro Command transmission with left hand mechanical shuttle
- Mechanically engaged, 12-inch dry cerametalic PTO clutch

Engine
Four-cylinder engines deliver dependable power that keeps you going day in and day out. These state-of-the-art engines are quiet and fuel-efficient, and provide the kind of lugging power you need for tough conditions.
The computer-designed, parent-bore cylinder block has a contoured outer surface and stiffening gussets for awesome strength and noise reduction. The TL-A engine block serves as an integral structure of the tractor and includes an integrated water pump and oil cooler.
Model TL80A
- PTO hp: 69
- Cylinders: four
- Aspiration: natural
- Displacement: 273 cu. in.
- PTO torque rise: 50%
Model TL90A
- PTO hp: 77
- Cylinders: four
- Aspiration: turborcharged
- Displacement: 273 cu. in.
- PTO torque rise: 45%
Model TL100A
- PTO hp: 85
- Cylinders: four
- Aspiration: turbocharged
- Displacement: 273 cu. in.
- PTO torque rise: 45%
Reduced smoke and emissions meet strict Tier II emissions certification requirements to go easy on the environment.
A torque response up to 50% assures you of ample lugging power to pull through difficult soil conditions, climb grades, or run hay and harvesting equipment efficiently in heavy crop conditions.
Nozzles positioned under the piston flood the area with pressurized oil from the crankshaft to disperse heat and lubricate the cylinder walls. Due to this efficient method of cooling, the tolerances between the piston and cylinder wall can be reduced further, eliminating piston slap during start-up.
A single poly V-belt powers the fan, alternator and water pump. It provides proper tensioning and is maintenance free.
The standard grid heater preheats air before it enters the chamber for quick, reliable starts in temperatures as low as -13° F.
Cross-flow cylinder head design keeps intake air cool and dense for superior combustion and excellent fuel economy.

Transmission
Whether you choose a TL-A Standard or Deluxe tractor model, you get a transmission that provides easy, inline shuttling for loader work and a broad selection of working speeds for field work. Speed and range levers for either transmission are located conveniently to your right where they come easily to hand.
Standard Models
12 x 12 Synchro Command™ transmission
Four gears in each of three ranges (instead of only three provided on some other tractors) mean you have less need to shift between ranges.
Seven gears in the two- to nine-mph working range allow you to select the perfect working speed for each job.
Inline, left-hand mechanical shuttle makes shifting from forward to reverse extra-easy, and frees the operator's right hand to work the loader.
The equal number of forward and reverse speeds in every gear provides just the right combinations for smooth, easy loader and shuttling work.
Deluxe Models
24 x 24 Dual Command™ transmission with power shuttle
A push-button powershift in each of the 12 synchronized, overlapping gears gives you double the speed choices. When you hit a tough spot in the field, or when you're baling, or hauling heavy loads, you can downshift with the touch of a finger.
Press the "tortoise" button on the shift lever, and you instantly decrease ground speed by 15% and increase torque 18% without interrupting power.
A top ground speed of 22 mph on FWD models and 19 mph on 2WD models gets you between jobs fast.
A clutchless, column-mounted power shuttle lever to the left of the steering wheel allows you to shift from forward to reverse and back by simply flicking the lever with your fingertips. Your hands remain on the wheel. It's the perfect choice for loader work.
A 20 x 12 creeper transmission with mechanical shuttle is an option for low-speed applications (not available on TL100A Standard model).
Hydraulics
Flexible hydraulic power is standard equipment on TL-A tractors. A best-in-class lift capacity and many standard features set TL-A tractors apart.
A proven, dual-pump hydraulic system delivers total tractor flow of 20 gallons per minute (gpm) and gives TL-A tractors high capacity and fast cycle times.
A dependable 14.5-gpm hydraulic gear pump provides flow to the remotes and three-point hitch.
A dedicated steering pump provides 5.5 gpm to the hydrostatic steering system.
Up to three closed-center rear remote valves are available on TL-A Deluxe models. Independent flow control and pressure-flow compensation are available on two of the three valves.
Up to two open-center rear remotes are available on TL-A Standard models, with a third available as a dealer-installed option. Remote valve levers are located next to the right side of your seat for easy control.
Two mid-mount remote valves with flow control and dedicated joystick control are available on all TL-A Series tractors and are ideal for loader work. These valves are independent of the rear remote valves and free the rear remotes for other functions.
Astounding 5,745-pound lift capacity— the highest in this power class—allows you to easily handle larger implements. And, it's extra proof that TL-A Series tractors are built to handle the stress of the largest implements and the toughest conditions.
A touch-control Lift-O-Matic™ feature for the three-point hitch allows you to quickly raise or lower the implement at the headland without altering lever positions. That's something you won't find on other tractors of this size.
Telescoping stabilizers and flexible link ends make implement hook-up easy. (Flex ends are optional on Standard models).
A mechanical draft control system uses lower link draft sensing to give you total implement control. This system allows for easy implement set up and includes working depth control, load and position control and a height limiter.
A PTO is standard equipment. A 540-rpm PTO is standard on the TL80A and interchangeable 540 and 1000-rpm PTO shafts are included on the larger TL90A and TL100A tractors.
Electro-hydraulic PTO engagement on TL-A Deluxe models provides gradual PTO engagement and smooth power flow to implements.
Operator Station
Both the TL-A cab and flat deck are the most spacious in this horsepower class and are isolation-mounted for reduced noise and vibration. The open, flat deck design, excellent visibility, adjustable suspension seat and tilt/telescoping steering wheel make the TL-A tractor a comfortable place to work.
Unmatched visibility to front and side is the result of the unique sloped TL-A hood and under-hood muffler.
The TL-A lighting package is the best in the business. It includes two dual-beam halogen headlights as well as two front corner work lights that illuminate the work area to the side and operate independently of the headlights. Cab tractors also offer two front roof-mounted work lamps and two rear roof-mounted work lamps. One rear-mounted work light is standard on ROPS tractors.
A mechanical suspension seat with foldable armrests and height, fore/aft and damping adjustment is provided on TL-A Standard models
The air-ride seat (on TL-A Deluxe models, optional on TL-A Standard models) includes a wide seat cushion, a swivel feature, adjustable air lumbar support and an adjustable back rest.
Clear, easy-to-read instrumentation includes gauges for engine speed, oil temperature and fuel level, as well as a digital readout of ground speed, PTO speed, clock and warning indicators.
Controls are positioned for natural reach and easy operation.
An enhanced keypad provides information on models equipped with the 24 x 24 Dual Command™ transmission. Push buttons allow you to view expanded information in the central LCD display on the dashboard, including tractor hours, distance travelled, area worked, area per hour, digital PTO speed, battery voltage and maintenance programs.
Choose the roomy TL-A cab for maximum comfort in rain, snow or heat. It includes these features:
- 57 square feet of glass, that features two wide, full-glass doors and offers an unobstructed view. The exhaust is tucked neatly behind the front cab post to further improve your visibility.
- Air conditioning or heat, maintained by an electronically controlled thermostat to keep you comfortable no matter what the outside temperature.
- Two external cab filters to keep the air clean. Each is easy to reach for maintenance.
- Both side and rear windows that open for fresh air and ventilation.
- A large, lockable toolbox with removable tray, provided on cab tractors. The entire toolbox can be removed to take with you.
Service
TL-A Series tractors offer serviceability that's second to none. Fast routine maintenance gets you on the job in no time. And, long service intervals mean less time spent on maintenance over the years—lowering your cost of ownership:
- Engine oil: 600 hours
- Hydraulic oil: 1200 hours
- Engine and hydraulic oil filters: 300 hours
valign="top">  |
Single-piece hood lifts effortlessly on gas struts for easy access to filters, cooler, battery and radiator.
The easy-access radiator includes a slide-out condenser unit for quick inspection and cleaning.
Engine oil can be checked without raising the hood.
A 33.5-gallon fuel tank on all models keeps fuel fills to a minimum. The low fill point location and wide filler neck makes refueling easier.
32LC Loader
The 32LC loader is designed expressly for TL-A tractors, making it a perfect fit and easy to install. Combine the 32LC loader with the excellent visibility, fast cycle times and easy-to-use joystick and you have a perfect loading machine.
A lift height of nearly 11 ft. helps the 32LC easily clear the sides of trucks. And, the bucket rolls back 38 degrees to minimize spillage and dumps to 53 degrees to empty completely.
The low, sloping boom design provides superb visibility to the front.
A simple, four-way joystick control makes operating the loader easy.
A stout, mid-mount frame eliminates the need for bulky bracing at the front of the tractor. The mid-mount design also allows for complete turning, regardless of tire size.
The TL-A Series mid-mount hydraulic valves and the integrated loader parking stand make attaching the loader a simple process.
An optional Quick-Attach bucket and tool attaching system uses faceplates that mount securely on the back of the bucket. Just drive in, roll back and lock down the spring retention handles and you're off to work.
A full range of attachments, including buckets, grapple, pallet forks and bale spear, enhances the versatility of your TL-A Series tractor.
A bucket level indicator is standard equipment.
Add the optional mechanical self-leveling system to reduce spillage and increase the speed of your loader work. It's especially helpful when moving pallets. The system also includes four-bar bucket linkage that increases dump angle.
A durable, high-gloss paint provides weather and corrosion resistance.
Rifled grease zerk fittings make daily loader servicing the easiest in the business.
52LC Loader
Add the 52LC loader to your TL-A Series tractor when you need greater breakout force and lift capacity.
A breakout force of up to 5,000 lbs. and a 3,400-lb. lift capacity allow you to move large loads fast.
An outstanding 11.5-ft. lift height lets you place loads exactly where you want them.
The mechanical self-leveling option reduces spillage and allows you to move more quickly and confidently.
Optional skid steer-style Quick-Attach bucket device lets you easily attach to a variety of buckets and attachments, including pallet forks, grapple bucket, manure tines and bale spear.
Visibility to the bucket is excellent thanks to the mid-mount design, narrow boom arms and small uprights.
