TK-A crawler Tractor
Work where conventional tractors can't
Steep grades? Cramped working conditions? You'll have no problems when you work with a low-profile, narrow TK-A crawler from New Holland. They give you the traction needed to work in steep terrain, the maneuverability to work in narrow rows, and the low ground pressure to work in areas where soil compaction is a problem.
TK-A crawler tracks produce exceptional traction, maneuverability and draft load capacity, allowing them to operate efficiently on soft ground in early spring, on marginal land where the soil remains wet or is easily damaged, in narrow rows and on hillside vineyards or orchards.
Exclusive, single-lever Steering-O-Matic™ steering system allows you to use only your left hand to make sharp turns, freeing your right hand to control implements. Steering brakes are not needed.
Proven, four-cylinder engines deliver reliable power and are Tier II compliant to go easy on the environment.
8 x 8 constant mesh transmission provides equal forward and reverse speeds from 1.1 to 7.5 mph and uses a dedicated manual forward/reverse shuttle.
The open-center hydraulic system is designed for maximum flexibility to power a wide variety of implements.
The operator platform provides comfort and reduces stress.
A fold-down roll bar allows TK-A tractors to operate under branches and low overhangs. (Operator should not wear the seatbelt with roll bar in the folded position.)
A "crop-friendly" design features recessed front worklights and flexible side indicator lights that allow you to drive through overhanging vegetation with minimum damage.
Halogen front work lights and corner-mounted work lights make night work easier and more productive.
Heavy-duty lubricated track chains (standard on the TK100A, optional for TK80MA) provide long life and quiet operation.
A versatile 540-/1000-rpm PTO allows you to run a variety of implements. You engage the fully independent PTO clutch with a handle under the right console.

Tracks
TK-A tracks provide ultra-efficient power-to-ground performance and are driven directly off the rear transmission. They are aggressive, efficient and fitted with a manually adjustable hydraulic tensioner.
TK-A tracks turn tighter than conventional tractors—a big advantage in cramped quarters or when making headland turns. This eliminates the need to "skip" rows when spraying or tilling for big time and fuel savings.
TK-A tracks boost performance by keeping slippage to a minimum. TK-A tractors are capable of pulling their own weight, allowing them to pull and drive wider implements than conventional rubber-tired tractors of the same horsepower. That increases your efficiency and lowers operating costs.
The entire track undercarriage is connected to the main tractor chassis with a larger-diameter pivot shaft. This pivot shaft allows maximum track oscillation and ensures optimum traction performance and long-term track durability.
TK-A tracks cause minimum ground compaction because the lower track rollers spread the weight of the tractor and the implement over the entire track surface of up to 2,053 square inches.

Engine
Efficient, economical TK-A engines power you through long days. These four-cylinder, 238-cubic inch engines rise to any challenge with smooth, responsive power.
A convenient flip-up hood allows for easy engine servicing
An impressive torque reserve allows TK-A tractors to handle heavy loads and tough conditions.
A heavy-duty, cast iron engine block and a dry-sleeve design provide longer service life than competitive wet sleeve engines, without the risk of coolant contamination. Dry cylinder liners assure maximum heat transfer and protection against the risk of coolant leakage. Since the pistons are enclosed with replaceable liners and are not in direct contact with the block, they have a long working life. Engine overhauls, if ever needed, are economical.
A cross-flow cylinder head design pulls air in from the right side of the cylinder head and expels it on the left side. Intake air remains cool and dense, resulting in superior combustion and maximum power production.
Large, unrestricted helical inlet manifold and valve ports ensure maximum fuel-to-air mixing.
A premium Bosch rotary fuel-injection pump and injectors provide precise fuel metering and delivery into all cylinders.

Transmission
The TK-A 8 x 8 constant mesh transmission provides the variety of speeds and low-effort shuttling needed to get your work done.
A practical selection of speeds from 1.1 to 7.5 mph includes six gears in the important one- to four-mph operating range, with two higher gear speeds available for light work or transport.
The dedicated forward-to-reverse shuttle lever allows for low-effort shifts between the equal forward and reverse gear speeds.
A double-plate traction clutch provides maximum durability and heat dissipation for difficult working conditions.
An exclusive clutch braking system permits easy gear changes as it serves to slow shaft rotation when the traction clutch is released. This helps when maneuvering in tight quarters or when changing direction of travel.

Hydraulics and Hitch
The open-center TK-A hydraulic circuit features two independent hydraulic systems for high- and low-pressure applications.
The high-pressure system for the remotes and three-point hitch is supplied by a dedicated, engine-mounted 11.9-gpm pump.
The steering and lubrication circuit is supplied by a dedicated 5-gpm gear pump.
Three rear, open-center remote valves are standard equipment. A fourth valve can be installed if needed. All remotes can be fitted in the horizontal stack on the right-hand rear fender.
A maximum three-point lift capacity of up to 4,075 pounds at 24 inches behind the balls allows you to work with the heaviest, widest implements.
The three-point hitch uses two lever controls, one for position and one for draft sensitivity. Draft is measured using a patented top link draft system.
The Lift-O-Matic™ system simplifies headland turns. It allows you to lift or lower an implement with the touch of a button, without altering the position and draft settings.
A heavy-duty swingbar drawbar is standard equipment.

Operator Platform
The comfort and convenience of TK-A tractors makes you more efficient and productive. The open design of the platform provides ample legroom and the innovative, single-lever steering system eliminates a steering wheel to provide even more space.
The platform is suspended on four rubber isolation mounts. These "silent blocks" reduce vibration and noise transmitted to the operator.
The operator seat, footrest and fenders are also isolation-mounted to reduce vibration and noise.
The deluxe seat features a base that can be tilted—ideal for working on slopes. A backrest angle adjustment and extra padding and support for the upper back provide additional comfort. A unique, removable seat cushion guarantees a dry seat every morning.
The low profile of the platform not only adds stability, it also creates additional overhead clearance—especially valuable when working beneath trellised vines.
The right side entry includes a non-slip step and handy grab rail for easy access.
Main controls are grouped conveniently within comfortable reach.
Analog instrument panel provides a clear display of fuel level, engine temperature, engine speed and engine hours.
