Torrential
hydraulic flow

The high-capacity TJ hydraulic system puts a torrent of hydraulic flow at your disposal to help you do more work.

Highest hydraulic flow in the industry helps you operate implements efficiently. A 40-gpm pump is standard on most models (42 gpm on the TJ500), with 55 gpm standard on the TJ375, TJ425 and TJ450 scraper models.

MegaFlow™ hydraulic option delivers an astounding 90 gpm (75 gpm on Model TJ275 and 92 gpm on the TJ500)) to handle challenging hydraulic tasks like laser-leveling and operating high-demand implements like air seeders and beet lifters.

Efficient pressure-flow compensating (PFC) system delivers the correct flow and pressure where and when it's needed.

Four remotes are standard with a fifth, sixth, and seventh optional. Remote flows can be adjusted easily on-the-go with electronic controls on the cab armrest.

 
Optional power-beyond couplers provide direct hydraulic power for high-demand implements like planters and air seeders.

The highest three-point hitch lift capacity in the industry—up to 19,500 pounds on the large-frame models and up to 14,500 pounds on the TJ275 and TJ325—allows you to handle extremely heavy rippers and planters.

The three-point hitch controls are within easy reach. The raise/lower switch and position controls are conveniently located on the armrest control console. Controls for drop speed and the upper limit are under the armrest.

Optional 1000-rpm PTO assembly provides modulated, smooth engagement. Drop box with helical-cut gears operates efficiently and reduces noise.

Smooth-shifting transmission

The TJ 16-speed full powershift transmissions puts you in full control to make you more productive in the field or on the job site. You'll appreciate the smooth shifting and fingertip control.

Nine gears in the three- to eight-mph working range offer you an outsanding choice of working speeds. Speeds are spaced at half mile-per-hour intervals, so you can find the perfect speed for the job at hand.

A toggle button on the throttle handle lets you select the gear with the touch of your thumb.

The instrument panel confirms your gear selection, direction and operating speed.

Start out smoothly in any of the first eight gears. Modulated movement ensures that you—and your implement—get a smooth start.

The auto-skip shift feature allows you to skip every other gear to accelerate more quickly.

An industry-leading 23-mph transport speed (depending on tire size) helps you get from field to field faster.

The shuttle control on the left side of the steering wheel allows you to quickly shift to first-reverse from forward gears 1 through 8.

The inching pedal allows you to maneuver in tight quarters and is helpful when hooking up implements.

Helical cut gears provide quiet operation.

Pre-filled multi-plate wet clutches provide consistently smooth shift quality and faster speed changes.

A flexible, economical 24x6 Hi-Lo Synchroshift transmission is also available on select models.

Extra brawn for scraping and land-leveling

With heavy-duty axles and reinforced frames, the TJ375, TJ425 and TJ450 Scraper models offer enhanced utility and lasting reliability. They're specifically designed with extra brawn for the demands of scraping, grading and earth moving jobs in commercial operations.

This heavy-duty drawbar is designed specifically for scrapers and comes equipped with a tow cable.

The TJ Scraper powertrain is designed to pull scrapers efficiently at speeds over 4 mph with engine speeds above 1800 rpm.

The 15-liter Cummins engines keep on lugging even as the scraper fills to keep you moving fast in tough scraping conditions.

Precision, high-volume hydraulics are standard. A 55-gallon pump is standard, and the electro-hydraulic remote valves are designed to interface with laser-guidance systems. The optional MegaFlow™ increases flow to 90 gpm.

Differential locks let you lock right and left wheels together to pull through slippery conditions.

The largest-diameter bar axle in the industry has the strength and durability to match high-horsepower operations and the heavy loads you handle.

Back-up alarm and rotating strobe beacon light provide added safety on the job site.

This kind of quiet comfort in a 4WD tractor cab is long overdue. The New Holland TJ cab is the most productive traveling office you've ever experienced. It's designed to keep you refreshed even after long hours in the field and provides you with the ultimate place to work.

The largest interior cab volume offers 23% more space than most 4WDs—plenty of room to stretch your legs and get comfortable.

Over 67 square feet of glass provides an expansive view to put you in complete control. The one-piece, curved windshield and sloping hood provide a panoramic view to the front and a clear view to the crop. The wide back window lets you keep an eye on the widest implements.

Comfortable air-ride seat and armrest control console swivel 20 degrees to the right, 13 degrees to the left and glides eight inches forward or back to fit you perfectly. This ergonomic console puts the throttle and hydraulic remotes within easy reach. The seat is fully adjustable and includes lumbar support.

Optional training seat with padded seat and back rest makes it easy to train new operators in comfort.

A vertical bank of electronic instrumentation is positioned at eye level on the right-hand post to give you the information you need at a glance. It allows you to keep track of oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, speed, RPM, transmission gear readout, and hours.

Optional onboard performance monitor offers advanced instrumentation and the added peace of mind of automatic tractor shutdown to prevent engine damage from overheating or low oil pressure. It provides you with performance and diagnostic data on-the-go, including area covered, fuel consumption, remaining fuel, ground speed and wheel slip.

Comfort controls are overhead for easy adjustment of air conditioning, heat, fan and vents. This panel also includes controls for lights, windshield wipers/washers and the radio/sound system.

Automatic temperature control lets you easily maintain a consistent temperature at all times, even when the weather changes and as the sun dodges in and out of clouds.

Beefy frame, axles and drive train

The TJ frame, axles and drive train components are bigger and beefier to handle both deep-tillage tools and wide-working implements.

Sturdy, half-inch thick steel plate frame endures the demanding duties faced by these large 4WD powerhouses.

Longest wheelbase on the market (154 inches on the TJ375, TJ425, TJ450 and TJ500 models, 139 inches on the TJ275 and TJ325) smoothes out your ride on rough terrain and helps eliminate power hop.

Center-pull drawbar design maximizes TJ tractor performance. The TJ drawbar is mounted near the articulation point at the center of the tractor. This center-pull design, combined with the longest wheelbase on the market, gives TJ tractors more efficient pulling power to tow wider implements.

The largest-diameter bar axle in the industry on the TJ375, TJ425, TJ450 and TJ500 has the strength and durability to match the high horsepower and heavy load capabilities of these tractors.

An inboard/compound planetary final drive on the heavy-duty TJ375, TJ425, TJ450 and TJ500 and all scraper models handles abusive applications and heavy shock loads.

An inboard 4-gear planetary final drive is used for the TJ375 standard model.

An inboard 3-gear planetary final drive and four-inch-diameter bar axle are used on the TJ275 and TJ325.

Massive axle housings offer built-in strength for structural support.

Planetary input gears, bearings and final drives are lubricated with pressurized, filtered and cooled oil.

Precision-ground spiral bevel gear sets transfer power from the powershift transmission to the planetaries and drive shaft. They offer strength, durability and quieter operation.

Bar axles allow for adjustable wheel tread settings—from 60 to 176 inches with duals, depending on model and tire size.

Hydraulically activated wet disc brakes on front and rear axles are cooled with filtered oil to provide superior stopping power.

Spring-applied parking brake engages automatically when the engine is turned off.

Optional hydraulic differential locks (one for the front axle and one for the rear axle) lock the left and right wheel together for improved traction in slippery conditions.

Mounting points on the frame allow you to easily add chemical tanks and ballast packages.

Weight can be factory- or dealer-installed. A front cast weight bracket can be added to the frame for additional ballast. Suitcase weights are also available for the front axle. For the rear, suitcase weights and a cast bracket can be added if the tractor is not equipped with a three-point hitch.

Long engine oil-change interval of 500 hours cuts your service costs in half.

One-piece tilt-up hood gives you easy access to the engine and radiator. The hood can be opened without climbing up on the tractor.

Radiator overflow bottle allows for quick visual checks of coolant level. The entire system can be accessed easily for cleaning.

Clean out doors, including a bottom trap door, let you clean the radiator and cooling system without hassles.

Convenient right-hand service door provides easy access to batteries, windshield washer fluid and axle lube filter. Steps on the door allow you to use a service access window to reach the electrical components in the cab armrest control console and route monitor cables.
