Designed for the producer with the long to-do-well list

You refuse to settle for second best. That’s why New Holland designed the new TG tractors to provide the best performance available in the industry today. Four models provide increased horsepower levels, more hydraulic flow, sharper turning and the most spacious cab.

Whether you need power at the drawbar, PTO, three-point hitch or hydraulic lines, TG tractors deliver impressive power and response no matter what the application.

Powerful New Holland 8.3-liter engines provide up to 56% PTO torque rise to give you enough lugging power to do any job that comes your way.

The 18x4 full-powershift transmission provides smooth shuttling and offers automatic shifting both in the field and on the road. A host of programmable features will save you time every day.

The TG hydraulic system delivers up to 68 gpm when you add the MegaFlow™ option—far more than you’ll find on other tractors in this class—to operate the largest, most productive seeders and implements at maximum efficiency.

Select the axle that matches your needs:

  • Standard FWD
  • SuperSteer™ FWD or
  • TerraGlide™ FWD.
New and improved SuperSteer™ FWD axle allows you to turn so tight, you can make a simple U-turn at the headland—even with an eight-row planter on 30-inch rows.

The TG cab is the most spacious in the industry, and it offers unmatched visibility and easy controls designed to keep you at your very best.

TG service is easier to complete compared to competitive tractors. You take care of daily servicing at one central location where you can easily check engine oil, hydraulic oil, engine coolant and fill the fuel tank. All from the ground—all without opening doors or pulling panels. And, extended service intervals mean service checks are less frequent. TG tractors are also state-of-the-art when it comes to troubleshooting. New Holland dealers are specially trained in the use of a laptop Electronic Service Tool to perform diagnostics quickly—right in the field—for fast repair and reduced downtime.

Add a 92LB front-end loader to your TG tractor to lift and move loads fast.

A variety of tire options  is available to suit your needs, including front duals that dramatically improve traction and flotation while reducing compaction. They’re available factory-installed on the TG255 and TG285, no matter what axle you choose. You can also choose 900/50 R42 tires for improved flotation or 380/90 R54 tires for narrow row applications.

A choice of factory ballast packages allows you to tailor your TG tractor to your individual operation and specialized tasks.

26 pounds of soybeans are used to create the rustproof polymer/soybean compound of every TG cab roof. New Holland takes the interests of farm producers seriously and is proud to support soybean growers by utilizing their product in TG tractors.

A 1000-rpm PTO is standard equipment. For added versatility with smaller implements, choose the optional dual speed 540/1000 rpm PTO.

The unique New Holland Customer Care Protection Plan protects your TG power train components affected by lubricants, filters and coolants for 10 years or 10,000 hours.

Models PTO hp Transmission
TG210 170 Programmable 18x4 full powershift
TG230 190 Programmable 18x4 full powershift
TG255 215 Programmable 18x4 full powershift
TG285 240 Programmable 18x4 full powershift

Stronger engine power

New TG tractors offer more horsepower than ever—up to 240 PTO horsepower—to pull even larger implements. The six-cylinder, turbocharged, 8.3-liter New Holland engines also deliver more lugging power—hands down—than other tractors in their class.

An industry-leading 56% PTO torque rise and up to 30 PTO horsepower power growth means TG engines actually increase horsepower when the going gets tough.

TG engines are cantilever mounted to the transmission with direct drive through to the transmission to eliminate parasitic power losses.

2200-rpm rated speed helps contribute to long life, added reliability and better fuel economy.

Fuel delivery is electronically controlled on the TG255 and TG285 to increase fuel economy and increase torque response at low engine speeds.

State-of-the-art transmission

The TG’s 18x4 full-powershift transmission provides a smooth progression of speeds, and allows you to move smoothly through the gears without clutching. And, the 25 mph transport speed saves you time on the road.

Transmission lever is located conveniently at the end of the right-hand armrest.

Standard right-hand power shuttle makes changing direction as simple as moving the control lever forward and back. You can even program the forward and reverse gears to match your needs.

Automatic shifting—both on the road and in the field—takes the stress out of operation. When you depress the Auto Shift button while in gears one through 12, tractor performance is maintained under varying loads in the field based on throttle, engine speed and engine load. When you’re in gears 11 through 18, the Auto Shift button engages the automatic roading feature, allowing you to operate the tractor using only the throttle lever.

The two upper buttons on the transmission control lever allow you to move through the gears with the push of your thumb. Press the top button and you shift up one gear at a time. Hold the top button and you shift up one gear every second. Use the bottom button in the same way to downshift. Your selected gear appears on the instrument panel at all times.

Optional creeper transmission offers an additional six speeds from 0.5 to 2.5 mph for specialty, low-speed applications.

Best-in-class hydraulic power

Hydraulic power is another area where TG tractors are number one. A 38 gallons-per-minute (gpm) pump is standard, or add the MegaFlow™ hydraulic option for an unmatched 68 gallons per minute. That’s more gallons than any competitor for more efficient operation of high-demand implements like air seeders and beet lifters.

Optional MegaFlow™ system adds a 29.4-gpm pressure/flow compensated piston pump to the standard TG hydraulic system, increasing total flow to a whopping 68 gpm. The two pumps provide two separate circuits to let you simultaneously operate two systems—a low-flow/high-pressure system, like an orbital motor from one remote, and a high-flow/low-pressure system from another. Other tractors use one common pump to carry both loads, and that decreases efficiency.

Electrohydraulic remote valves are standard and provide you with the convenience of in-cab flow control and readouts.

Individual remote valve timers give you increased control when you add the optional performance monitor to your TG tractor.

Color-coded remote couplers make it easy to match the appropriate remote levers on your right-hand armrest control console.

Up to 17,920 pounds of lift capacity (with the increased three-point lift option) is the highest you can get, allowing you to harness the productivity of the largest implements on the market.

Dynamic Ride Control™ hydraulically adjusts the three-point hitch to cushion the load of heavy, mounted implements and improves control during transport.

Innovative axle options

You can equip your TG tractor with standard FWD or one of two innovative FWD options. For the tightest turns in the industry, equip your TG tractor with the optional SuperSteer™ FWD axle option. It delivers the kind of maneuverability that saves you time every day. For an ultra-smooth ride on the roughest ground, equip your TG tractor with the optional TerraGlide™ suspended FWD axle.

The SuperSteer™ axle is attached to the tractor with a simple, heavy-duty ball-and-socket joint. As the tractor turns, the whole axle pivots, allowing the outside wheel to move forward, in front of the nose of the tractor. This provides more tire clearance and a greater turning angle to reduce turnaround diameter. You can make a simple U-turn at the headland — even on narrow 20- and 22-inch row spacing — or on 30-inch rows with an eight-row implement. No other tractor can accomplish this at 30-inch row spacing!

The TerraGlide™ axle smoothes out the bumps by providing over four inches of travel, to keep the front tires in contact with the ground — on any terrain and even at the higher 25 mph transport speed. This reduces the vibration and shocks that reach the cab, and improves stability, traction and steering control.

A cab with space, style and control

You and your operators deserve the best of all cabs, and the TG tractor has it. After all, the better you feel, the better you perform. The TG cab is a roomy, mobile office designed to keep you performing at your best.

109.5 cubic feet of volume—the most cab volume in the industry—gives you plenty of space to stretch out.

Over 68 square feet of glass surrounds you when you sit in the TG cab, providing you with an excellent view in all directions. That’s the most glass you’ll find on any cab in the industry.

An ample rear-opening window makes it easy to see to toward the rear of the tractor, simplifying implement hookup.

The narrow, sloped hood makes it easy to see down to the rows.

Large work station to your left holds a laptop computer or whatever you need to have close by. A large shelf behind the seat provides additional space for coolers, tools and gloves.

Optional instructional seat can be installed over the workstation area.

Plenty of outlets and mounting brackets are provided for phones, radios and monitors.

The standard TG air-ride seat helps to fight the annoying effects of gravity throughout the day.

Choose the deluxe cab option, and you get even more comfort and convenience features:

  • Air-ride seat with an adjustable headrest, backrest and thigh cushion, as well as an automatic heat control that cycles on and off during the work day.
  • Automatic temperature control
  • Sunscreen
  • Map light
  • Fully adjustable right armrest
  • Additional storage areas with cargo nets overhead and to the rear
  • Optional six-disc CD changer
New AutoComfort™ seat suspension option provides the ultimate in riding comfort. A sensor continuously monitors vehicle ride and automatically controls the dampening provided by the seat shock absorber to provide optimum comfort no matter what the terrain.

TG controls, including the transmission lever, throttle and hydraulic remotes, are located at the end of your right-hand arm rest. The controls travel with your seat so they’re always at the perfect position.

Easy-to-read instrumentation on the cab pillar provides you with critical tractor information at a glance, including engine speed, ground speed, gear selection, oil pressure, coolant temperature and fuel level. There’s no need to look down at the console for this information, as is required on competitive tractors. Just shift your eyes slightly to the right and you have all the information you need.

Optional performance monitor reports on vehicle performance including percentage slip and area covered per hour. On the TG255 and TG285 with standard electronic fuel systems, you can monitor fuel usage and percent of rated power generated to ensure you are operating at the most efficient gear selection and engine RPM. The performance monitor also protects the engine by shutting it down if critically high engine or transmission temperatures are detected.

Optional lighting packages, including a front and rear High Intensity Discharge (HID) light option, improve visibility during nighttime operation.

Optional power-adjust exterior extendable rear-view mirrors are available for the left- and right-hand side of the cab. They adjust electronically from inside the cab.

Convenient right-hand console houses the controls for the windshield wipers, heat and air conditioning. Automatic temperature control is provided with the optional deluxe cab.
