918H Flail Mower

Mows clean, wide and fast

This heavy-duty flail mower is designed to handle all of your cutting jobs like mowing large acreage and overgrown areas. It fits tractors up to 70 hp equipped with a 540 rpm PTO and can be used with Category I or II hitches, without adding lift links or other parts. Cutting widths available: 60, 71 or 91 inches.

Radial flotation hitch allows the 918H to float independently with ground contours for uniform cutting on uneven terrain.

Rotor direction can be reversed for mulching. Forward rotation of the rotor knives (same direction as the tractor tires) lifts the grass for even cutting. Reversing the rotors allows for thorough mulching of the clippings and throws them to the rear where they are evenly distributed.

Blades swing vertically and reduce the chance of objects being thrown from the mower.

Mower can be centered behind the tractor or offset for close cutting next to buildings, walls, shrubbery or other obstructions.

Blades yield when they strike an object, reducing blade damage and maintaining an even cutting pattern.

Blades are reversible for long life. Single-bolt mounting makes replacement easy.

Cutting height can be adjusted from one to five inches.

918L Flail Mower

A smoother, more finished cut

The 918L flail mower thoroughly mulches grass clippings, providing a smoother, more finished cut than a rotary mower. The 918L is the perfect match for Category I tractors, up to 30 PTO hp. Select a 50- or 60-inch cutting width.

Fine-cut blades are mounted with a single hinge to a rotor positioned across the direction of forward travel, so blades are parallel to the ground and in line with the mower's direction of travel.

Cutting knives rotate vertically at 2100 rpm for a fine, even cut. This vertical blade rotation reduces the chance of objects being thrown from the mower.

Clippings are thoroughly shredded by the reverse rotation of the rotor blades, then thrown to the back of the mower where the extended rear skirt helps to distribute them evenly.

Blades are reversible for long life. Single-bolt mounting makes flipping or replacing blades easy.

Cupped blades for greater lift are available.

Full-width rear gauge roller allows the mower to follow ground contours.

Offset design and three-point hitch mounting allow you to easily trim close to trees and buildings. The tractor and mower respond as a single unit for greater maneuverability.
