With startling precision, the new HST Plus’s automated control of both the HST pump and two stage motor gives you optimal performance, regardless of the task, working conditions, or operator expertise. Pedal operation is light and smooth to provide the Grand L40 with a more comfortable, easier-to-operate, and higher performance HST than ever before. Performance upgrades includes load-sensing (Stall-Guard), hi/lo (Hydro Dual- Speed), HST response control, and Auto-Throttle Advance.

HYDRAULIC SERVO SYSTEM

Kubota’s new HST Plus includes an electronically controlled hydraulic servo mechanism that decreases the amount of pressure required to depress the HST pedal. This mechanism creates a more responsive pedal, which in turn delivers smoother handling and more control, whatever the load size. In addition, the system helps to reduce vibration, shock, noise and fatigue to provide a gentler ride and improved performance.

KUBOTA ENGINE

The compact E-TVCS (Three Vortex Combustion System) diesel engine delivers up to 59 gross engine HP for higher torque rise and quicker engine starts. It's well balanced for less engine noise and vibration, and surpasses EPA tier-II regulations. The L5040, L5240, and L5740 models have turbo-charged engines.

MID-PTO (Optional)

An optional, semi-independent mid-PTO is available on all Grand L40 models, for use with a variety of performance matched midmount and front-mount implements.

HEAVY-DUTY FRONT AXLE

A larger front loader lift capacity calls for an extra heavy-duty front axle and main frame. The heavy-duty front axle was specially designed to ensure high power output and durability. It perfectly matches the performance of exceptional Grand L40 front loaders.

TILT STEERING WHEEL

The tilt steering wheel is practical and easy to use. Simply step on the pedal, select the desired tilt position, and release the pedal to lock. Step on the pedal again to unlock the wheel, for easy tractor mounting and dismounting.

FULL OPEN HOOD

The redesigned all metal hood makes it easier than ever to access the engine for routine service and maintenance. The one-piece hood opens wide to fully expose the engine area.

OPEN FLOOR SEAT

Strategically positioned over the engine, the removable seat allows easy access and servicing of hydraulic brakes, sensors, components, and more.

First, second, or third rear hydraulic control valves can be added to the Grand L40. Productivity and versatility can be maximized with a broad range of implements.

3-POINT LIFT CYLINDERS

A feature typically found only on larger tractors, Grand L40 models are equipped with two large tandem 3-point lift cylinders. Lift capacity is impressive and unequalled, while the external design provides for easy maintenance.

LIVE INDEPENDENT PTO

TELESCOPIC POWER LINKS

Telescopic lower links are standard equipment on the Grand L40 Series. 3-Point implement hook-up and detachment is made more quick and easy, allowing for use of a wide range of tractor implements.

TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL INDICATOR

Positioned for easy access, the transmission dipstick can be found on the exterior rear of the tractor.

4 WD MODELS

The Grand L40 4WD provides superior pulling power and traction in any working condition. The front-wheel drive bevel gear assures that you always get a full, smooth transfer of power. Combined with a 55 degree steering angle and compact differential, the Grand L40 4WD gives you excellent ground clearance and maneuverability.

EASY ACCESS

Wide doors with gas-struts and steps on both sides of the tractor are standard equipment on the Grand Cab.

EXCELLENT VISBILITY

The view is great! The cab's elevated seat, curved, frameless glass windows and doors give operators 360 degree visibility that virtually eliminates blind spots. Check the front tire position or the operation of rear implements with confidence. An increased roof height on the Grand L40 improves forward visibility even further.

WINDSHIELD WIPER

The windshield wiper is hinged on the bottom to ensure a wide front view, even on rainy days. The park position doesn't interfere with forward visibility when not in use, and a washer function is standard equipment.

REAR CORNER WINDOWS

Rear corner windows can be opened to provide additional fresh air ventilation when desired.

TINTED GLASS

Tinted glass cuts UV rays, is easy on the eyes, and helps to keep the interior temperature of the cab comfortable.

FRAMELESS DOORS

The frameless doors with curved glass provide superb, unobstructed side views, while making cab access easy.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INDICATOR

For easy access, the engine oil dipstick can be found on the exterior right side of the tractor, just below the hood.

ADJUSTABLE VENTS

A total of seven adjustable vents are thoughtfully placed to provide maximum comfort to the operator, or to defrost/demist cab glass more quickly.

LOW NOISE / LOW VIBRATION

The new larger integrated cab, the engine, sound-dampening material, and the full-floating, rubber-cushion ISO-mounted platform combine to decrease tractor noise and vibration levels. This reduces operator fatigue and increase comfort, especially during prolonged tractor use. It's hard to find a more quiet ride on a compact tractor!

FRESH/RE-CIRCULATED AIR

With one simple flip of a switch, filtered air can be introduced into the cab from outside. Ventilation is increased, helping prevent the windows from fogging while pollutants are kept to a minimum. With another flip of the switch, re-circulated air helps to keep odors out, or helps heat, cool, or defrost.

AIR CONDITIONING/HEATER

The new Grand L40 Series Grand Cab has exceptional performance to heat, cool, defrost, and demist with an upgraded standard air-conditioning and heating system.

WIDE OPENING REAR GLASS

The wide opening rear glass of the Grand Cab provides ventilation when desired, and excellent visibility to the rear of the tractor.

FENDER EXTENSIONS

Fender extensions are standard equipment on Grand L40 cab models, helping maintain good visibility by keeping debris off the doors.
